We're looking for a Growing Media (mulch and soil) Planning Manager to lead our demand and supply planning processes in Marysville, OH.

If you enjoy a fast-paced, high energy and seasonal manufacturing environment then you will fit in well as a Growing Media Planning Manager for Scotts Miracle-Gro. On a day-to-day basis you will lead a team of five Regional Master Planners and Demand Fulfillment Analysts. The responsibilities include developing demand and supply strategies, driving continuous improvement projects, and forecasting all growing media products and production planning across a network of 35+ manufacturing sites.
What you'll do in this role:
Partner with our supply chain leadership to analyze cost to serve, define manufacturing constraints and provide recommendations for cost reduction.
Manage the monthly sales forecasting process, and the production planning and Inventory forecasting process.
Balance supply plans to ensure the highest customer fill performance while maintaining inventory goals and low operating costs.
Manage forecast accuracy, inventory turns, fill rate and the ending inventory versus what was budgeted.
Resolve issues to ensure the availability of products for customers.
Develop and drive continuous improvement projects.
What you'll need to be successful:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Logistics, Business Administration or equivalent.
5-8 years of experience in manufacturing, logistics, and or planning.
Supply chain processes and procedures within a Manufacturing CPG company preferred.
Experience directly managing a team preferred.
Systems experience using SAP, JDA or similar ERP and demand planning tools along with Microsoft Office Suite.
