Mechanical Design Engineer

Derived Salary: $76K - $140K/Year

In line with our strategic objectives to expand our market presence and product offerings, we are actively seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team.



Position Summary:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering design and a passion for creating innovative solutions.



Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems for a variety of products using SolidWorks.
  2. Conduct feasibility studies and perform engineering calculations to ensure designs meet performance requirements.
  3. Create detailed drawings, specifications, and bills of materials.
  4. Create comprehensive validation plans for new products.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new product designs.
  6. Conduct design reviews and testing to validate product performance.
  7. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in mechanical engineering.


Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  2. 5+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering.
  3. Strong computer aided design (CAD) skills, preferably with SolidWorks.
  4. Strong understanding of mechanical principles and materials.
  5. Strong understanding of fluid dynamics.
  6. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  7. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  9. Strong mechanical skills and exposure to ASME Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and ASME Y14.5.
  10. Ability to multitask and organize/prioritize job assignments in a rapidly changing, short turn-around environment.
  11. Basic understanding of structural and thermal dynamics.
  12. Material selection experience of both metals and plastics.
  13. Working knowledge of manufacturing processes to include, but not limited to, machining and injection molding.
  14. Understanding of design for assembly / design for manufacturing (DFA/DFM).
