Scrap Recovery Technician

Basic Qualifications (Minimum Required Experience, Education, Knowledge/Skills/Abilities, Essential Physical Demands):



Education & Experience: Requires High School diploma or GED equivalent. 1 year of automotive experience required.



Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Must have knowledge of automotive industry. Must be able to dismantle automotive parts. Must be able to read and write English.



Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment: Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50lbs. Noise level loud. May be required to work outside in all weather conditions.



Preferred Qualifications: ASE certification is preferred, but not required.





Decision Making Examples: Determine the packaging requirements for core units. Determine if a core unit needs further processing after being drained.






Job Summary: Position is responsible for maintaining and recovering scrap/core.




Essential Job Duties:




  • Drain, Process, and Package engine and transmission cores.

  • Record engine and transmission core counts.

  • Other duties as assigned.
