Job Responsibilities

  • The Senior Business Analyst plays a key role in relating and communicating technology initiatives in a business context. Responsible for conducting fit/gap analysis, partnering with the technical developers for the implementation of requested upgrades, enhancements, and changes to installed PeopleSoft HCM applications (Core HR, Benefits, Ben Admin, Payroll for North America, and Time and Labor).
  • This person will lead design sessions, facilitate requirements gathering, document business needs for technical developers. This person will also be responsible for creating test plans, identifying test scenarios, writing and executing Quality Assurance scripts and identifying issues.* Build customer confidence, be committed to increasing value and exceptional experiences for HR, Payroll, Benefits, and Time Entry.
    * Ability to adapt to a rapidly growing organization while simultaneously looking for foundational improvements.
    * Configuration and support of PeopleSoft HCM Modules
    * Diagnose and resolve PeopleSoft system related questions to ensure the accuracy of business critical systems. Interact with database administrators, developers, and business system users in this effort.
    * Work with outside vendors to develop and test new and modified interfaces. Troubleshoot production errors that are identified by vendors.
    * Manage and participate in development of system test plans and acceptance criteria relating to enhancements, bug fixes, bundles and tax updates.
    * Proactively identify bottlenecks and areas of opportunities. Make recommendations for potential process and/or system changes.
    * Successfully utilize prior experience in applying methodology and best practices. Use standard techniques to elicit and document business requirements and effectively identify process inefficiencies and make suggestions for modifications.
    * Facilitate the prioritization process across multiple stakeholders. Provide functional support of applications, working directly with clients in managing their requests, and translating functional requirements to technical specifications through hands-on analysis.
    * Identify new ways to approach and complete Quality Assurance practices and documentation.
  • Business Partnership
    • Work closely with IT and business owners to support the development and execution of business vision and strategy.
    • Identify opportunities to better integrate with other lines of business.
  • Project and Portfolio Management
    • Work closely with the Mountain Application Manager and VRI operational teams. Provide technical leadership for driving business requirements, leveraging existing applications and evaluating new technologies to meet evolving needs.
    • Manage the execution, delivery and financials for assigned projects.
    • Manage QA Life Cycle by developing test plans and test scripts, documenting test results, and reporting on results and managing UAT while coordinating usage of test environments.
  • Vendor Relationship Management
    • Create mutually beneficial opportunities for organization and the vendor using processes, technologies, and people to drive results
    • Ensure that financial responsibilities for vendors are met in a timely manner.
    • Review and incorporate vendor product maintenance and upgrades into technical roadmaps
  • Operational Support
    • Ensure all operational support responsibilities are met, including management of support queue, maintenance activities, and upgrade tasks in accordance with defined procedures and SLAs for multiple applications
    • Ensure all compliance requirements are followed and maintained including quarterly duties as assigned.
    • Provide support and guidance for internal users in IT and the business
    • Perform season startup preparation for various applications as tasked
    • Perform Data field revision, core configuration and Integration management
  • Team Work / Collaboration
    • Willingness to work across multiple teams in an open and collaborative way to design holistic solutions in a fast paced environment

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of IT Business Analyst and/or Project Management experience
  • Test planning, use case development, test script creation and quality assurance
  • Requirements gathering and documentation skills
  • Experience managing medium to large projects working with a diverse group of teams.
  • Experience with Peoplesoft HCM required
  • Ability to work on multiple/tasks simultaneously
  • Proven organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills

Additional Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent in related job experience
  • Experience in PS conversions would be preferred
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative, fast paced and complex environment as a part of a team (IT, Business and Vendors)
