Hotel Overview:Be a part of the historic castle on the park, The Plaza, A Fairmont Managed hotel, a timeless landmark capturing memories since 1907. Located in the heart of midtown, The Plaza now features 282 luxury hotel rooms and suites, the elegant Champagne Bar, as well as the legendary Palm Court, New York Citys premier destination for afternoon tea. The Plaza offers the Five Diamond standard of excellence and sophistication while offering an authentically local and unrivalled experience for our guest.

Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Credit Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Provide first contact to the guests of the Accounting Office and answer or direct all general inquiries.
Maintain a positive service attitude at all times and be willing to help and advise clients with all questions and requests they may have.
Prepare group account billings promptly and accurately with required supporting documentation.
Process advance deposits as required for group master accounts.
Call and/or mail correspondence to customers as necessary in order to update accounts. Help the team and the guest by undertaking other duties and responsibilities that may be requested by the a manager.
Assist with the research of credit card charge backs, as well as maintaining the credit card balancing spreadsheet.
Prepare all FIT Statements for mailing
Other reasonable duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a credit department required
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications or relevant computer applications required
  • University/College degree in a related discipline an asset
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times

Visa Requirements:Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
