Appeals Analyst - Disaster Recovery Implementation

ICF's growing Disaster Management division is assembling an outstanding team equipped to offer expert advisory services, bringing the strength of past performance and a hand's on integrated multidisciplinary approach. Join the ICF team and help make a difference. The Disaster Management division works with government agencies and communities to design and implement policies and programs to promote increased resilience to disasters and to promote long-term recovery in housing, economic revitalization, and infrastructure after disaster strikes.
We a currently looking for an experienced Appeals Analyst.
Responsibilities:
+ Review denial / ineligibility letter and original project worksheet to validate reason for denial or reverse or overturn decision based on program guidelines.
+ Coordinate and formulate with project team members to gather additional documentation/information about the project.
+ Provide a response within program defined timelines.
+ Research and review relevant regulations and policies that support eligibility or denial.
+ Interact with exceptions panel and technical team as necessary for outcome.
+ Maintain and track caseload and track in system of record and other required data bases.
+ Communicate with case manager and management staff regarding issues, problems, and resolutions.
+ Superior customer service skill set, ability to listen, facilitate and negotiate problems.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
+ Bachelor's degree or 5years of solid experience working with grants in CDBG, FEMA or HUD
+ 3+ Years in Disaster Management - Disaster Recovery field
+ Strong analytical skills, experience in case or grant management required.
+ Strong organization skills required.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
+ Knowledge of smartphone apps, MS Office, Data Information System & Time Management Skills.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
+ Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is :
$56,742.00 - $96,461.00
