Chief Operating Officer job in Tucson at Sonora Behavioral Health

Sonora Behavioral Health is Arizona's largest inpatient psychiatric hospital. We provide stabilization treatment of mental health and chemical dependency issues affecting children, adolescents, adults and active duty military personnel. We are fully accredited by the Joint Commission and committed to providing superior quality care.

We are looking to expand our leadership team. Sonora Behavioral Health has an immediate need for a Chief Operating Officer to facilitate, direct and coordinate operational activities and programs relative to the day-to-day hospital operations of the Hospital. Successful candidates will be independently licensed by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners or the Arizona Nursing Board.

CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

PURPOSE STATEMENT:

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) has responsibility for facilitating, directing, and coordinating operational activities and programs relative to the day-to-day hospital operations of the Hospital through the delivery of cost effective and quality services.  The COO will provide strategic leadership as the patient care executive responsible for all patient care functions and patient services within the hospital.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• Master's degree in Nursing, Health Administration, Social Work or other related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years in an operations position with documented progressive leadership experience
• Current licensure or certification as required by discipline
