Mechanic/Maintenance Manager
Northvale manufacturer has an opening for a full-time Maintenance Director, with at least 5 to 7 years previous experience. Candidates must have a strong work ethic and be proficient in preventative maintenance of machinery. Experience with industrial filling line packaging machinery preferred. Closed most weekends unless necessary due to workload. Earned paid time off after 1 year employment including holidays and closed for the week between Christmas and New Year’s.

Maintenance Manger Job Responsibilities:
- Installs, repairs, adjusts and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance.
- Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation.
- Dismantles machinery and removes/replaces defective parts.
- Determines changes in requirements of parts by inspecting and measuring with various instruments and tools.
- Maintains inventories of equipment parts and supplies by checking stock and placing orders.
- Trains production workers on routine preventive maintenance and operation.
- Provides mechanical maintenance information by keeping records and answering questions and requests.
- Prepares maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Recommends maintenance program and assists with assessment of additional/new machinery based on production volumes and requirements.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Ability to operate machinery, tools and technical equipment
- In-depth knowledge of machinery maintenance
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulations
- Skilled in analyzing information and creating reports
- Familiarity with machinery control systems and parts such as photoelectric eye sensors
- Forklift certified
- Associates degree in mechanical engineering or similar field or related certifications
- Electrician experience, training and qualifications preferred
- Plumbing knowledge preferred
Pay Details: $85,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year
