Summary Incumbent is a key member In Dental Services, and to all within Central Alabama Health Care System (CAVHCS). The incumbent provides assistance with administrative aspects In the Dental Services, Administrative responsibilities include data gathering, analysis, tracking, trending, reporting, assisting with budget preparation (to include fund control point and purchase card holder),other expenditure tracking liaison, time keeper for East and West Campus. Responsibilities Major duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Schedule and review work activities performs in an office, including reporting and record keeping, review and direct incoming documentations / inquiries and take personal action when applicable or direct/a appropriate staff as needed, maintain files and reports, maintain office compliance regarding regulations, policies, and guidelines as established, enter all reports within an expedient time frame, maintain calendar for manager, i.e. scheduling appointments, maintain employee records, prepare travel arrangements for staff, perform office automation work an personal computer utilizing multiple programs to complete documentation, receive incoming calls from patients, clients, staff, and others in need of information, execute and prepare responses to routine correspondence and reports, and take meeting minutes. Qualifications To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 09/19/2022. Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-06 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-05. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. Note: Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to former Federal employees applying for reinstatement as well as current employees applying for Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment. You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below: Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-05 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: Specialized experience includes but not limited to: encounter activity, enrollment accuracy, and demographic data The incumbent monitors data and prepares staff reports on clinic utilization. The incumbent will perform the ACA Performance Measures and monitors timelines of opportunities as determined by VHA, VISN 7, and/or CAVHCS. The Incumbent will work with supervisor and management staff to ensure the accuracy of data submissions and assist with preparation of Dental Service reports. The Incumbent will assist with the preparation of yearly budget submissions. Physical Requirements: The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may alt comfortably to do the work.
