Job Description:
The main function of a business systems analyst is to analyze science, engineering, business and all other data processing problems for application to electronic data processing systems.
A typical business systems analyst is responsible for analyzing user requirements, procedures and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow and scheduling limitations.

Job Responsibilities:
• Gather requirements from business units and translate those to programmers and developers.
• Prepare cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to aid in decisions on system implementation.
• Confer with clients regarding the nature of the information processing or computation needs.
• Coordinate and link the computer systems within an organization to increase compatibility and so information can be shared.

Skills:
• Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
• Basic ability to work independently and manage one''s time.
• Basic knowledge of design techniques and principles involved in production of drawings and models.

Education/Experience:
• Bachelor''s degree preferably in Computer Science or Business or equivalent experience
• 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar position
• Must have the ability to understand and translate technical information to/from non technical users
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills At least 2 years of experience writing business requirements, detailed specifications, workflows, and sample schematics/sketches
• 2 years of experience in design documentation and detailed technical documents
• Preferred Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact Professionally with a diverse group, employees, managers, and subject matter experts as well as vendors.
• Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
• Ability to work within a team environment
• Excellent customer service
