Nesco Resource is looking to hire a CMM Programmer/Final Inspector for our client in Hartford, County. The CMM Programmer/Inspector performs dimensional inspection using the CMM, creates and edits CMM part programs as well as trains employees regarding running existing CMM part programs, performs surface plate layout as well as first piece inspection as required and assists with any other duties/responsibilities as assigned.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
Create detailed CMM part programs using PC-DMIS software. These programs shall contain clear and concise work instructions for the set-up, part orientation and part process and characteristic identification as required.
Incorporate Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement practices in the daily execution of tasks.
CMM inspections of machined aircraft engine parts at various stages of the manufacturing process
CMM inspection of gages and tooling as required
Comply with the PWA reqt's. for CMM program validation and gage suitability
Must be able to communicate, interact and assist with Manufacturing and Engineering personnel in regards to measurement findings
Demonstrate Leadership and teamwork
Understand, implement and maintain the Company's quality policies and procedures in the performance of all duties and responsibilities.
Knowledge and Skills:
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and applicable specification
Able to use general inspection equipment, including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, etc.
Solid knowledge of GD&T including ANSI-Y-14.5, PWA 360, PWA 79360
Good organization and record keeping skills
Ability to multi-task and handle multiple priorities while maintaining proper attention to detail.
Familiarity with Microsoft software, Word, Excel, Power Point & Adobe
In-depth knowledge of PC-DMIS software including alignments, tolerances, use of CAD solid models, off-line programming, data formats and exporting measurement data
Able to incorporate changes in CMM technology, software and capabilities into CMM inspection and programs Use of the CMM for inspection in the manual mode
Education and Experience:
Minimum 2 year's programming a CMM using B&S PC-DMIS software as well as minimum 3 years of layout inspection
