Job Description

The counselor/psychologist will provide direct clinical service to IUPUI students (counseling and assessment), participate in outreach and programming, contribute to clinical training, and serve the department, division, and university through consultation and participation on committees. The primary role of direct clinical service will include individual and group counseling, as well as contributions to assessment, evaluation, and testing as determined by training and experience. Contributions to clinical training may include didactic presentations, session observations, and clinical supervision of Master’s and Doctoral level graduate students. Additional service to the campus community will include participation in crisis response. All staff also contribute to the strategic planning of the Department.


Job Requirements

REQUIRED: Master’s degree in a clinical mental health field, completed clinical training experiences consistent with licensure requirements and one year of post-degree supervised clinical service. Be licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Indiana within the first 6 months of employment.

This staff member must demonstrate experience and a commitment to working cross culturally.


Preferred Qualifications 

Doctoral degree in a clinical mental health field. Experience in a college counseling center.
