1st Shift Inventory Control Specialist/Returns
Sally Beauty Holdings, Inc. is a global distributor and retailer offering professional beauty products to both retail consumers and salon professionals. Through the Sally Beauty Supply and Beauty Systems Group businesses, the Company sells and distributes through over 4,828 stores, including approximately 181 franchised units, throughout the United States and Puerto Rico, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Chile, France, Canada, Mexico, Ireland, Netherlands, Spain, Germany, and Peru.
As an Inventory Specialist/Returns Processor, you will be responsible for processing of store returned product including the sorting of goods, receipt in the system, and preparing the product for removal or to be stocked back into product bin locations in the warehouse.  The incumbent will need to complete tasks by following the Standard Operating Procedures put in place for Returns.  The job is also responsible for the process of cycle counting product for the purpose of keeping the integrity of the perpetual inventory.  In addition, this position requires you to maintain freight integrity, assist with organizing the warehouse and process facility orders. In accordance with the needs of the business, responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 
  • Complete the sorting, receipt, disposition, and stocking of returned product from stores and salons. 
  • Effectively communicates with customer service and other departments both internal and external. 
  • Properly uses Radio Frequency technology (when applicable) for the processing and put away of returns or the performance of other job functions. 
  • Maintains a safe work environment, performs job functions in a safe manner, and reports any potential job hazards to management, including maintaining good housekeeping practices. 
  • Maintains productivity related to standards based on assigned tasks. 
  • Accurately counts SKU's in file.  Maintains supply and inventory levels for product. 
  • Performs data entry of counts in cycle count system. 
  • Reviews/researches count discrepencies and makes corrections based on established guidelines. 
  • Creates cycle count files and makes recommendations to improve inventory accuracy. 
  • Files completed count paperwork and prepares reports. 
  • Performs all other duties as requested by management. 

Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent helpful 
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Some basic computer skills.
  • Previous warehouse experience preferred but not required
