The Operations Manager will serve in a critical leadership role, leading Supervisors, crews and subcontractors; reporting to the Project Manager. The Operations Manager will be responsible for work planning, scope development and scheduling operations. The Operations Manager will serve as a leader in safety, training, quality, schedule, cost, and performance.
**This project is contingent upon award of contract.**
Development of monthly maintenance work plans. • Day-to-day oversight of Supervisors and subcontractors.
Planning and overseeing maintenance operations to include resource allocation, activity scheduling, workload prioritization, issue resolution, customer service, and other activities. • Oversight of personnel and subcontractors in the performance of operations and maintenance activities.
Oversight of incident/emergency response/management. • Review of work for quality and compliance to standards. • Ownership and implementation of the company safety program to include updating the company safety plan, safety training, regulatory compliance, and promoting the overall safe operation and culture of the company.
Develop scopes of work, request quotes from subcontractors and vendors, present best value solutions to Project Manager
Engage clients and public customers to resolve service requests
Compliance with the contract, specifications, and reporting requirements. • Completion of deliverables and reporting requirements in accordance with the contract, to include preparing of monthly & quarterly reports. • Updating operations, emergency and other plans on an as needed basis, but no less than annually. • Participate in emergency events and on-call rotations. • Other activities as assigned by management.
Associates degree in operations, engineering, construction management or related field preferred. Bachelor’s degree and Professional Engineer (PE) license a plus. • 5-10 years of progressive experience in any of the following: maintenance, engineering, tolling operations, or construction. Experience in Asset Maintenance, state or local transportation agency, private toll authority or DOT a plus. • Experience as a leader with successful track record of leading teams in the performance of operations, maintenance or construction activities. • Demonstrated experience in a broad range of responsibilities to include public involvement, program and project management, budgeting and using software systems. • Understand and abide by ethical behavior and integrity standards, per Louis Berger’s Code of Business Conduct.
