Project Manager
Project Manager Opportunity with a Leading General Contractor in the West Palm Beach, Florida area!
One of the area's most highly respected General Contractors is seeking a Project Manager to join their growing team. This award-winning, financially strong company has a long history of excellence in construction.
Role Overview: The Project Manager will lead the execution of successful outcomes on Commercial Construction projects. You'll guide the project team with a customer-focused approach, ensuring open communication, clear direction, and high expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Estimating during the Preconstruction phase.
- Read and interpret Construction Plans and Specifications.
- Mentor less experienced Project Management staff on effective project management practices.
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with Owners, Architects, Engineers, and Subcontractors to secure future project opportunities.
- Oversee Subcontractor and Vendor procurement, including buyout, scope of work review, contract writing, and insurance and bonding reviews.
- Resolve drawing interpretation problems, conflicts, and errors.
- Manage Submittals, RFIs, Change Order Proposals, Owner Billings, Time Sheet Management, Subcontractor/Vendor Billings, and Monthly Reports.
- Verify work-in-place quantities and Subcontractor/Supplier billings for timely Owner Billings.
- Ensure accurate monthly cost projections and oversee Project Schedules and progress updates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture.
- 5 years of experience managing commercial/light industrial projects.
- Broad knowledge of building systems and construction methods.
- Strong financial management skills and the ability to independently manage all aspects of a project from start to finish.
