Program Coordinator
Under the supervision of the Director, the Program Coordinator provides individual services to undocumented/AB540/DACA and other immigration-impacted students. Services may include academic needs assessment, developing individual study plans, recognizing and addressing academic and non-academic barriers to academic success, and counseling on other aspects that may affect student retention and graduation. The coordinator designs, updates, and implements campus educational programs and services specific for undocumented students. The coordinator serves as a subject matter expert pertaining to AB130/131/540, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), and federal immigration laws and policies. The coordinator provides appropriate training, workshops, and resources for administrators, faculty, staff, and students.
The full salary range for the Program Coordinator is $24.71 - $41.67 per hour. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $26.82 hourly. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.

Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training. (Required)
- Valid drivers license (Required)
Experience Requirements
- 2 - 4 years of related experience. (Required)
- Experienced in addressing issues that undocumented students face, through targeted programming, resource management, and community outreach activities. (Required)
Minimum Requirements
Strong understanding of the services and resources available for undocumented and immigration-impacted students. Ability to stay informed of the rapidly evolving legal and political immigration landscape. Knowledge on California state bills pertaining to undocumented students’ access to higher education, such as AB 540, AB130, AB131, AB 2586 etc. Proven ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including students from different cultural backgrounds, as well as faculty, staff, parents, alumni, and community members. General knowledge of student affairs/student life specialization. Skilled in preparing documents, reports, publications, and brochures, with experience in coordinating web-based services. Basic knowledge of advising and counseling techniques. Ability to multi-task, verbal communication, written communication and organization skills. Skills in service orientation, active listening, critical thinking. Interpersonal skills. Abilities in problem identification, reasoning.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge and experience in research, compiling and analyzing data and generating reports Knowledge of common University-specific computer application programs. Knowledge of University processes and procedures. Understanding of University rules and regulations.
