Havenwyck Hospital is a 243 bed, Joint Commission accredited and licensed psychiatric and substance abuse facility. We specializing in providing behavioral health and substance abuse treatment and are located in Auburn Hills overlooking Lake Galloway.
Havenwyck Hospital provides a continuum of individualized treatment to children, adolescents and adults needing psychiatric and/or substance abuse treatment. Havenwyck strives to create a customized treatment plan for each individual based on level of maturity, life experiences, needs and other factors. Patients at Havenwyck are treated by a qualified multi-disciplinary team, including, but not limited to, a psychiatrist, registered nurses, social workers and recreational therapists, in a warm, supportive environment. Havenwyck Hospital's Residential Treatment Center is a secure treatment program for children and adolescents ages 8 to 17, with emotional and/or behavioral impairments that require them to be in a secure, 24-hour supervised therapeutic living situation. Havenwyck Hospital is seeking a dynamic and talented licensed Director of Clinical Services for Child/Adolescent to join our team of compassionate, dedicated professionals.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Coordinates Social Work role with the Director of Nursing and the Nurse Manager to facilitate the therapeutic milieu.
Receives notification of admission of patients and referrals for social work intervention.
Performs social work interventions as needed including psychosocial assessment, discharge planning, and acting as a liaison for hospitalized patients to various community agencies and resources.
Attends treatment team conferences, milieu meetings, and unit meetings.
Conducts department meetings on a regularly scheduled basis.
Provides supervision and evaluation to the social work team.
Coordinates daily clinical duties and schedules of unit social workers, flexes staffing as needed.
Coordinates Performance Improvement activities for patient treatment program. Responsible for the timely completion and compilation of all Social Work Performance Improvement Monitors and Performance Improvement quarterly reports.
Works a personal schedule tailored to the needs and objectives of the department and organization.
Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited School of Social Work, Doctorate degree from an accredited School of Clinical Psychology, or a Doctorate degree in Psychology required.
Current license in the State of Michigan as a fully licensed Social Worker or Psychologist required.
Minimum of four years post graduate experience in a clinical setting providing direct patient services required.
Demonstrated ability to act as a leader in a clinical setting and as member of a multidisciplinary treatment team required.
Two years of supervisory experience required.
Two to four years of experience in an inpatient psychiatric setting preferred.
Employees must be in good standing (employment/corrective action history, performance evaluations, etc.) to be considered for internal transfer.
