Kforce has a client that is a leading global real estate giant with over a 100-year history as an owner and operator of real assets. They are seeking a Manager of Internal Audit in New York, New York (NY).
Communicate assigned tasks to engagement team in a manner that is clear and concise ensuring high quality, accurate and efficient results
Develop audit programs and testing procedures relevant to risk and test objectives
Conduct assigned audit engagements successfully from beginning to end
Identify and communicate issues raised, offering recommended solutions relevant to business and risk
Ensure audit conclusions are based on a complete understanding of the process, circumstances, and risk
Write concise audit reports that clearly articulate issues raised
Communicate assigned tasks to engagement team in a manner that is clear and concise ensuring high quality, accurate, and efficient results
Research and review current and new regulations that impact the processes being audited
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field; Accounting designation (preferably CPA); other desirable qualifications: Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Investment and Derivatives Auditor (CIDA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA); Experience in Property, Private Equity and/or Hedge Fund sectors highly preferred
2-5 years of experience with a public accounting firm and/or corporate industry experience with emphasis on financial and accounting applications and financial and operational controls
Experience with Microsoft suite
Ability to work and excel in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills in both writing (documentation of audit plan, procedures, results) and verbal (interviewing process owners, presentation of audit results in client meetings)
Ability to develop strong rapport with client contacts
Able to demonstrate efficient organizational networking to achieve objectives
Comprehensive experience in SOX related procedures (walkthroughs, control testing) for financial and operational processes
Understanding of COSO 2013 framework
Ability to multi-task over of multiple audit plans
