Summary of Duties:
Responsible for overall operations, workflow, and inventory in and around raw material warehouse. Responsible for safely transporting materials from one department to another on the forklift. Ensure that proper documentation is recorded and ensure completion of work in a timely and productive manner.
What You'll Do:
- Responsible for unloading trucks of raw materials.
- Place raw material (cooper or aluminum) into its designated location the racks.
- Pull raw materials from their designated locations to be used in accordance to plating and fabrication production schedules.
- Transport materials as needed from warehouse to the plating or fabrication area and to and from other locations.
- Perform all department procedures for proper accuracy and quality.
- Assist in completing the monthly safety inspection.
- Miscellaneous duties as directed by department management.
- Operation of a forklift (Hubtex or other industrial equipment).
Requirements:
- Minimum age of 18 years old.
- 1-2 years of general warehouse experience preferred but not limited to.
- Experience with forklifts as well as Hubtex or other industrial equipment.
- Working knowledge of inventory and production standards.
- Legible handwriting and ability to follow written instructions accurately.
- Well-developed organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to demonstrate initiative as a team player to do whatever it takes to get the job done.
- Must be able to work well with periodic supervision and exercise reasonable judgment independently.
- Ability to lift weights up to 70 pounds at frequent intervals.
- Must maintain "meets expectation" attendance, safety, and job performance evaluations.
- Working understanding of fundamental mechanical principles.
- Working understanding of standard product flow.
- Must be flexible to work any shift or overtime as assigned by management.
- This job requires standing, stooping, and bending 100% of the time.
