Eskenazi Health serves as the public hospital division of the Health & Hospital Corporation of Marion County. Physicians provide a comprehensive range of primary and specialty care services at the 315-bed hospital and outpatient facilities both on and off of the Eskenazi Health downtown campus as well as at 10 Eskenazi Health Center sites located throughout Indianapolis.
The Administration Intern–Clinical and Revenue Cycle Services will be provided opportunities to learn about different aspects of working in a healthcare setting. While this internship directly reports to the VP of Clinical and Revenue Cycle Services, the intern may also be assigned to work with leaders in areas such as: Administration, Primary Care, Midtown, Nursing, Public Affairs, Human Resources, Finance, Wellness, and IT.
Each internship experience is tailored to meet the interests of the intern in conjunction with the current activities of the department. The internship is available to students who are currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program and for-credit-only.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Provides project support directly or through appropriate delegation project support to the Vice President, Clinical and Revenue Cycle Services
- Conducts qualitative analysis to identify themes in large data sets
- Researches and offers feedback on improvement efforts and customer satisfaction
- Provides general project support for all members of the Eskenazi Health leadership staff as needed
- Interacts with various health center employees and has indirect contact with patients
Must be currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree, and have an interest in working in the healthcare industry
