Audubon Metals a leader in the secondary aluminum industry and processing of nonferrous metals, is seeking an experienced individual to manage all aspects of the HR activities at its manufacturing facility currently under construction in Corsicana, TX.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Plans, organizes, and manages all activities of the department. Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
Serve as role model for Audubon Metal’s core values and actively and vocally exhibit behaviors which champion its Vision and Mission
Ensure alignment of area’s goals and activities with corporate Vision, Mission, and strategies.
Leads associate onboarding process, ensuring effective execution by managers; work closely with hiring managers to maintain a focus on successfully integrating and retaining associates.
Accurately and efficiently process all new hires, terminations and personnel changes, in a timely manner.
Develop strong trusted partnerships with business leaders, acting as advisor and partner in the areas of organizational effectiveness, talent management, employee relations, performance and development coaching & counseling.
Actively leads and engages employees in evaluation of the employee relations climate and implement solutions to issues that arise. Counsel employees and managers on conflict resolution and work related challenges. Conduct stay and exit interviews to evaluate work climates and morale. Conduct investigations as needed in an objective and professional manner to determine corrective action.
Advises managers on performance management including appropriate corrective counseling, training and development, and progressive discipline techniques and processes. Review documentation to ensure consistency with company policies, procedures, and guiding principles. Lead the performance appraisal process for the organization.
Administers all other HR policies and programs. Recommend and implement revisions to policies, programs and practices as needed. Ensure compliance with all state and federal statutes, laws and regulations including but not limited to all applicable wage and hour laws, and regulations related to FMLA, OSHA, EEO and ADA.
Contributes actively to the development and implementation of overall HR strategy. Identifying improvement opportunities to enable business strategy and results.
Proactively partner with local and remote leadership to ensure compliance with company policies and mandates.
Establish and maintain relationships with community groups, industry organizations and other outside agencies to promote local relationships and to establish connectivity.

A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
Progressive HR experience with a minimum of 3 - 5 years in a Generalist or greater role, and relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of HR legislative requirements/laws (State & Federal).
Demonstrated experience defining and driving HR strategies.
Must have excellent organizational, written and oral communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with HRIS systems.
Ability to maintain professionalism and handle confidential information with discretion.
Ability to self-direct and be results driven, while maintaining a service orientated approach.
HR related certification (i.e. PHR, SPHR).
Bilingual- ability to speak both English and Spanish fluently.
Experience with Ceridian software.
