Wisconsin Public Service (WPS), a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group is seeking an Electrical Engineer (Associate Engineer/Engineer/Sr Engineer) in our WPS Service locations (Rhinelander, WI or Menominee, MI or Iron Mountain, MI) service centers.

The Engineer will be the primary technical resource for Area and Major Projects construction, reliability, operating, trouble, design and customer service personnel and the technical liaison to large industrial/commercial customers and central engineering groups. The engineer will be called on to answer questions and solve field problems in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:
*Collaborate on System design
*Handle customer concerns about reliability
*Participate in Area Engineering teams
*Trouble shoot equipment issues
*Create and execute switching procedures
*Interpret and enforce code (NESC, Wisconsin, NEC)
*Communication company pole attachment project review and design
*Initiate Power Quality investigations
*Provide training as needed to crews designers and other engineers
*Work with standards on new material options
*Subject matter expert for field personnel on material, design, and code questions
*Distributive Generation review and startup

This position is part of a job family (Associate Engineer/Engineer/Sr Engineer), experience will be the determining factor.

Minimum Qualifications:
* Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering,
* Excellent communication skills, both oral and written are essential.
* Strong analytical capabilities are required.
* Candidates must be willing to travel to other company locations and be willing to be called in during off hours if a problem arises.
* Must possess a valid driver's license and meet the company's requirements for driving.

Preferred Qualifications:
* A professional engineering license in the state of Wisconsin is desirable.
