Job Description Summary
The Fleet Maintenance Clerk supports the maintenance team by ordering parts, maintaining the maintenance system, part inventory levels/accuracy, and processing reports for management.
Responsibilities
- Creates purchase orders and orders parts
- Enters maintenance-related data into CMMS program
- Verifies information entered is accurate
- Works with accounts payable to ensure proper invoicing of parts
- Maintains accurate inventory - includes cycle counting
- Receives, labels, stocks, and dispenses parts to mechanics/supervisors/managers
- Maintains organization and cleanliness of parts room/areas
- Create productivity and usage reports for management
- Follows safety policies and procedures
- Picks up parts in company vehicle if need be
- Performs and other job-related duties as assigned
- Valid driver's license
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- At least 6 months of related work experience
- Experience in the trucking or construction industry is preferred
- Computer proficiency - MS Office, data entry
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to prioritize and plan with speed and accuracy
- Shop environment including, but not limited to, machines, tools, heavy equipment, chemicals, solvents, dust, and fumes
- Inside facility, outside environment exposed to weather and vibrations from trucks
- Occasional exposure to extreme weather conditions
