Spectra360 Inc. has partnered with a leading intermodal distribution company and is seeking a HR Assistant to be part of their team. This is a temp to hire opportunity.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Preparing or updating employment records related to hiring, promoting, licensing and terminating.
  • Explaining human resources policies, procedures, laws, and standards to new and existing employees
  • Ensuring new hire paperwork is completed and processed
  • Manage all administrative aspects of leave and workers’ compensation claims to include tracking hours used/taken and working closely with the Financial Services Department to ensure that pay for employees is accurate and correct.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for the leave and workers’ compensation programs in alignment and under the general direction and guidance of Director of Operations & Finance.
  • Interprets and administers leave programs and policies in accordance with the applicable federal and state employment laws (FMLA, CFRA, ADA, USERRA, Pregnancy Discrimination Act, etc.)
  • Addressing any employment relations issues, such as work complaints and harassment allegations

Job Requirements:

  • Associates Degree required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Recent Certifications required
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in human resources
  • Must have knowledge of current California Labor Laws, including but not limited to Leaves and Grievances.
  • Ability to coordinate, research, and communicate effectively to support agency management
  • Must have excellent computer skills and the ability to learn new programs and tasks efficiently and must have strong skills with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word & Excel
  • Very strong organizational skills a must
  • Ability to communicate professionally in all matters
