Client Services Director (Sales) – Central US/Texas
Are you a driven public safety leader ready to lead strategic sales and business development in one of the most critical regions in the United States? Mission Critical Partners (MCP) is seeking a Client Services Director (CSD) to identify and secure new business opportunities, working closely with public safety agencies and federal programs to tackle mission-critical challenges. This role gives you the opportunity to help drive MCP’s growth while delivering innovative solutions that enhance public safety and justice across the Central US/Texas region.
The primary role of a CSD within MCP is to work in a dedicated region to seek, identify, and secure potential opportunities where MCP can support current and prospective clients in solving their problems, while helping MCP grow our business and meet our firm’s goals.
Serving as the primary business development contact for MCP within the Central US/Texas region, this role is your opportunity to lead impactful change, working closely with public sector professionals and organizations to provide insightful, innovative approaches to both existing and emerging issues. MCP's collective expertise—drawn from over 200 practitioners on staff and our extensive experience working across the U.S.—will be at your disposal to solve mission-critical challenges that improve community safety. What You’ll Do:
- Lead sales and business development efforts in the Central US/Texas region, focusing on identifying and pursuing new opportunities.
- Develop strategic relationships with public safety leaders and clients, working with them to solve mission-critical issues.
- Execute regional growth plans focused on delivering cutting-edge solutions in emergency communications, cybersecurity, and operations.
- Collaborate with federal programs to provide insight and guidance on national public safety initiatives.
- Support clients through every phase of project delivery, ensuring positive and lasting impacts for their organizations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop a comprehensive and time-sensitive business development and growth plan with strategies for growth performance.
- Utilize existing relationships, meet sales targets, and ensure client satisfaction and profitable engagements.
- Research, discover, and source leads. Call on senior-level executives and forge new client relationships.
- Close new business by understanding client needs and requirements; develop and negotiate project contracts.
- Build and maintain a sustainable sales pipeline in the CRM system and lead the development of annual regional sales plans.
- Actively participate in sales proposal development.
- Provide positive client relations, working with them as partners to develop long-term, meaningful relationships.
- Write grant applications and participate in the procurement process for clients, including technical RFI, RFP, RFQ, and ITB.
- Stay current on industry and legislative changes related to 9-1-1; assess impacts to clients.
- Collaborate with our marketing team to identify new opportunities, interpret trends, and promote efforts to meet current trends.
- Coordinate activities at trade shows and conferences.
- Support and promote our core values and the MCP corporate mission and goals.
- Travel up to 70% of the time.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in emergency communications, public safety, and/or emergency management.
- 5 years of business development experience with a proven record of success in growing consultancy-based professional services for public safety or mission-critical systems.
- Membership and participation in affiliations related to Public Safety.
- Successful background in working with Public Safety Operations, LMR, Broadband and Wireless Communications for Public Safety, NG9-1-1, and IP-based technologies.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems. Knowledge of Deltek Vision or Salesforce is preferred.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local policies and regulations related to 9-1-1.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to travel up to 70%.
