Job Summary - Development Associate

The Jewish Home Foundation of North New Jersey, Inc. supports the vital work of the Jewish Home Family through community engagement and fundraising. The Jewish Home Family’s mission is to make aging a vital and meaningful experience, understanding and meeting the unique needs of each individual.

Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Development Associate functions as an integral member of the foundation team in the management and support of fundraising efforts such as special events, the Annual Campaign, donor acknowledgments, and stewardship activities of the Jewish Home Foundation of North Jersey. THIS IS AN ON-SITE/IN OFFICE POSITION.



Essential Functions

Special Events

  • Coordinates logistics, planning, and scheduling of all Annual Campaign-related activities, including Campaign meetings and activities.
  • Develops and cultivates relationships with existing and new donors, participants, volunteers, and sponsors.


Stewardship Event Management

  • Supports donor and prospect cultivation gatherings/events with invitations, guest list development/management, RSVPs, and other duties.


Board and Committee Support

  • Supports the work of the Executive Director to manage Board and Committee member requests and updates and deliver necessary requests such as Board and Committee thank you and recognition gifts.
  • Provides administrative and technology support to the Executive Director at Committee and Board meetings as needed.


CRM Database Management

  • Supports work of the Annual Campaign and appeals with generating letters, reports, and tracking documents as needed for Foundation staff and Board members.
  • Research donor prospects to create donor profiles as needed for committee meetings and campaign prospecting opportunities.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Experience planning, managing, and organizing events, including working with volunteers and community partners.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000 per year
