Job Summary

Responsible for the analysis and administration of PSEG’s executive compensation programs, plans, annual and long-term incentive programs, deferred compensation plans and Board of Director compensation.  Provide guidance and consultation on executive compensation matters to senior management.  Oversee the preparation of compensation data for proxy disclosure and compensation committee meetings.  Assists executives directly or engages / manages outside consultants with tax matters related to compensation.  Evaluates market data for executive positions.  Oversee stock plan administration including employee stock purchase plan, long-term plans and non-qualified deferred compensation plans.

Please note this position is hybrid, comprised of remote and in office work.  PSEG reserves the right to amend the hybrid model at any time.



Job Responsibilities

  • Manage, design, develop, and administer all executive compensation programs, including base pay, short-term incentive programs, long term incentive programs and deferred compensation plans;
  • Develop policies and guidelines related to executive compensation and incentive based talent retention strategies;
  • Recommend plan revisions as well as new plans which are cost effective and consistent with market trends, best practices and company objectives; 
  • Provide technical expertise on executive compensation policies and procedures, strategy, compliance and design; ensuring internal equity, external competitiveness, and compliance with regulations for executive compensation programs. 
  • Partner with the compensation team and HR executive leadership, Executive Board and Management, the Corporate Finance, Benefits and Legal teams, and vendors/consultants as needed;
  • Develop materials for presentations to the CEO, the senior team and the Compensation Committee / Supervisory Board of Directors as well as the annual proxy report.  Prepare all compensation /equity related tables, analyses, footnotes for the annual proxy statement                                       
  • Interface with Compensation Committee independent consultant, Legal, Accounting, Tax, Audit, and others regarding compensation programs to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with applicable laws and regulations;
  • Manage all aspects of the employee stock purchase plan including program oversight, reporting, and vendor relationship 


Job Specific Qualifications

  • 8 years relevant experience
  • Thorough understanding of executive compensation programs with experience developing proxy report materials
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Project management – ability to multitask and lead cross functional projects
  • Solid negotiation skills 
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to productively interact with all levels and disciplines within the organization
  • Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Power Point)

Desired:

  • 3-5 yeas of supervisory experience
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) / Certified Executive Compensation Professional / Certified Equity Professional (CEP)
  • Master's Degree
