Responsibilities

General Job Summary:
Position will have responsibility for coordinating CIT Rail's portfolio management strategy, preparing Offerings for the secondary market, leading negotiations with our investor base and have the responsibility for coordinating cross-functional teams within CIT Rail on transactions where we purchase and sell railcars and locomotives in the secondary market.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain external syndication (buy and sell) networks within the Rail and Transportation Finance Industries
• Work with team to analyze and identify prospective divestitures of lease and/or loan portfolios; preparation of Offering Memorandum; provide analysis and evaluation of bids; negotiate and close transactions to optimize portfolio
• Originate, structure and analyze transactions; work with cross functional to price transactions, propose investment rationale for transactions and submit proposals; negotiate and close large and/or complex transactions involving lease or loan portfolios or company acquisitions
• work with team to structure transactions to optimize business unit's funding cost in coordination with Corporate Functions (Finance, Treasury, Legal, etc.)

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field; MBA preferred
• 10+ years of experience in Leasing or Banking, with experience in originating and closing asset backed transactions, preferably in the Transportation Industry
