Benefits Specialist/AdministratorSunstate Equipment Co.: Where Safety and People are Core Values!We take care of our People and it shows!Hiring Immediately; Pay dependent on experience; PAID WEEKLY!Typical Shift: Monday - Friday (Day Shift: 8AM - 5PM: 40-45 Hours per Week)Exceptional PerksHYBRID options available after trainingAnnual discretionary bonus and quarterly team bonusRent ANY of our equipment for FREE""My Holiday"" time off benefit pays you to celebrate any holiday without taking personal time!Unique Vacation Overtime Averaging benefit that pays you overtime while you're on vacation!ResponsibilitiesDay-to-day benefits administration of enrollment, life events, wellness initiatives, paid time off, bereavement and employee reclassifications.Employee support in resolving claims, enrollment issues, etc.Develop, improve and maintain benefit plan process documentation, toolkits, and reference materials.Audit employee benefit plan changes, exception reporting, vendor transactions.Administrative support of wellness program which motivates positive behavioral changes to reduce health risks, improve general Wellness.Manage and administer 401(k) Retirement Savings plan and work closely with plan administrator to ensure that plan complies with all regulations to include preparation of year-end discrimination testing and completion of the annual 401(k) plan audit.Administrative and functional support of multi-state leave administrationProvide feedback and support for applicant/employee-facing Total Rewards materials and communication.Understanding and support of government reporting, ACA administration and trip reduction programs.Benefit plan billing reconciliation and vendor payments.Regular communication with employees, managers and the Payroll team, providing exceptional customer service.Deliver trend reporting, present recommendations, and support their implementationSupport internal team members, management, benefits consultants and brokers to deliver competitive and cost-effective benefit offerings, plan design, plan renewals, fee structures, etc.Support multi-state health and welfare programs, including group medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary benefit programs, as well as savings programs including 401(k).Administration of recognition rewards to included years of service, employee of the quarter/year and other ancillary programsExperience & QualificationsSunstate is a proud Second Chance employer that evaluates every candidate on a case-by-case basis.At least 5 years of progressive HR experience with a focus in benefitsThorough knowledge of state and federal regulations related to benefits administrationExperience in a multi-state, multi-location environment a plusAdvanced knowledge and experience in managing benefits programs: health and life insurance, short-and long-term disability, workers' compensation insurance, 401k, FMLA/CFRA and multi-state leave, sick regulations, paid time off plans, wellness, etc.Strong written/verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with and present to employees at all levels of the organization as well as brokers and vendors outside of the organizationDemonstrated skill in handling and prioritizing multiple initiatives, projects and relationships in an efficient and professional mannerProven high level of integrity with an emphasis on tact, diplomacy, and confidentialitySolid analytical and problem-solving skillsExperience with UKG Pro and UKG Pro Benefits Administration is a major plus!Advanced proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite programsFour-year college degree or equivalent, advanced coursework in benefits administration preferredCBP, PHR or SPHR designation preferredQuestions?
