Human Resources Generalist

We are seeking a dynamic Human Resource Generalist to work in a Remote position.
The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for performing HR related duties on a
professional level and works closely with HR Manager in supporting the needs of the
organization. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: hiring
process, benefit administration, workers compensation and employee relations.
Provides support to the Director of Human Resources and Human Resources
Department.
Human Resources Generalist Responsibilities:
• Assist Department in carrying out various HR programs and procedures for all
Company employees
• Oversees the coordination of the hiring process throughout the Company
• Manage the administration of employee benefit programs, including the
coordination and execution of annual benefits open enrollment
• Update employee benefit records and data changes in the HRIS system.
• Ensures proper processes and administration of employee benefit transactions,
including new hires, life events, ACA processes and open enrollment processing
• Oversee employee benefit issues and questions during open enrollment and
throughout the plan year
• Reports, maintains and monitors all workers’ compensation case files; follows-up
on open cases
• Supports organization in the gathering information for company audits
• Files reports, maintains confidential employee records and reports, monitors
employee processes and procedures
• Maintains Company organization charts
• Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees and
supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the Director of HR
• Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations and
investigations.
• Maintains and updates the Company’s job descriptions
• Maintains manual for the Human Resources Generalist position
• Collaborate with HR Team to coordinate employee events
• Implements programs geared towards employee engagement.
• Assist in the maintenance of HRIS
• Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and
regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to
maintain compliance.
• Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new
technologies in human resources, talent management and employment law.
• Performs other HR duties as required and assigned
Human Resources Generalist Key Characteristics:

• Capable of adapting to quick and frequent changes in the work environment
• Consistently at work and on time and follow instructions
Human Resources Generalist Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in related field
• 2 years of office experience
• Prior HR Experience preferred
• Customer service background
• Strong ethical conduct
