Job Description

Greets, directs, and check-in patients/visitors.

Operator of the clinic switchboard, receiving incoming calls, placing outgoing calls, responsible for the paging system.

Process incoming and outgoing telephone calls efficiently, politely, and as quickly as possible.

Release patient information only when authorized and permitted by policy.

Maintains an understanding of current disaster/emergency policies and procedures in order to perform duties in a calm manner.

Completes daily tasks as necessary and assigned.

Complete patient payment, insurance information and other financial duties as assigned, including but not limited to Superbills and financial reconciliation of patient accounts.

Completes Patient Registration and processes information accordingly.

Completes clinic opening/closing duties and reports as assigned.

Completes all necessary functions of the patient prompt reminder system.

Able to multi-task and willing to cross train in other clinic administrative areas.

Seeks continuous learning opportunities.

Contributes to a positive patient and referral development experience.

Contribute to organizational and patient safety, efficiency and high reliability.

Seeks continuous learning opportunities.

Sorts and distributes daily mail when needed.

Willing to help with projects as needed and when assigned.

Above all maintains patient privacy in person and /or on the phone.
