Job Description

Judge Direct Placement is seeking a Process Improvement Engineer for a Large Manufacturing company in the Omaha, NE area. The qualified candidate must have prior experience implementing LEAN methodologies to improve performance and results of the entire manufacturing process.

Responsibilities:

Educate team and front-line supervisors on Lean Methodologies, 5S programs, and Corporate Policies related to E.H.S.

Trains, develops and coaches associates in all process and project functions.

Capable of testing and installing new processes.

Lead teams through time studies and Kaizen events

Responsible for equipment layout, product and material flow, and reduction/elimination of waste

Utilize knowledge, tools, and resources to improve manufacturing process

Write/communicate cost analysis proposals and “request for quotes” documents

Develop processes, methods, equipment and production controls for process and productivity improvements and supervise their implementation or installation.

Stay current on new manufacturing technologies and equipment while investigating their potential applications. 

Recommend new technology for company applications where feasible and practical

Requirements:

B.S. in Engineering (Industrial or Mechanical preferred)

1-3 years of experience in a Manufacturing environment

Lean / Six Sigma certifications and training

Strong AutoCad and Microsoft Office experience

True communication skills (Verbal and Written)
