JT4 provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. We develop and maintain realistic integrated test and training environments, and prepare our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges. RANGE POSITION DESCRIPTION The incumbent of this position will provide operational test engineering support to a Combined Test Force CTF) team in accordance with local operating instructions and policies in the development of the overall plans such as the Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP), Test Plan (TP), Test Cards, and other technical documents. Incumbent will take part in providing integrated engineering support for design reviews, test planning working groups, test plan technical and safety reviews, test card preparation and execution, and other test planning and execution activities. The incumbent will participate in and support test program design reviews, Test Plan Working Groups (TPWG) and other test planning activities and will provide timely inputs to program reviews, test schedules, working group sessions, etc. The incumbent will possess an understanding of other disciplines, to include avionics, flight dynamics, flight controls and modeling & simulation. Incumbent will develop and/or present engineering and program review reports, and conduct briefings to local and higher-level command officials and domestic dignitaries, as required. REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION, TECHNICAL AND WORK EXPERIENCE
The incumbent must have a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited academic institution with 2 years of related engineering experience, or have an accredited Master of Science in Engineering. The candidate must have professional knowledge of applicable engineering concepts and principles and familiarity with related engineering fields. The candidate must have practical knowledge of test methods and practices sufficient to perform routine to more complex engineering procedures and to prepare or make minor modifications of standard test procedures or test equipment work instructions. The incumbent should have a working knowledge of computer systems and computer-based engineering tools and must possess planning/organizing skills. Incumbent will be required to qualify for and maintain a government security clearance and must have a valid, current state driver's license.
