The National Sr Wealth Planning Strategist plays a significant role in developing national strategies to drive advice and planning adoption across Wealth & Investment Management. Including coordinating national initiative of meetings and events in partnership with regional presence and Advice Center to broaden relationships with existing clients, as well as developing/bringing new client relationships of generally above $25mm in relationship balances into Wealth Management.  

  • Drive, in collaboration with Advice Center and Advice Distribution, thought-leadership initiatives consistently and at-scale
  • Monitor legal/tax legislation and coordinate, in collaboration with other subject matter experts, timely advice and guidance in partnership with the Advice Center
  • Represent Advice and Planning Center of Excellence through a national platform: Advisor calls, client/prospect events, relevant conferences/summits etc.
  • Model national Center of Excellence (Center of Influence) approach and calendar-relevant “event/meeting in a box” strategies related to wealth planning topics 
  • Available for consultation on unique technical advice and planning topics for U/HNW clients/prospects. Working closely with divisional strategist and COE-wide resources to coordinate the best approach to meet the advisor and client need
  • Responsible for setting the Advice & Planning framework nationally, in alignment with scalable Wealth Planning advice 
  • Adheres to all planning and risk protocols and procedures
  • Delivers Wealth Planning advice during client meetings to enable relationship managers and/or advisors to independently implement Wealth Planning advice to other clients
  • Educates and coaches on cash flow analysis, insurance analysis, education funding analysis, executive compensation issues and stock option analysis, asset allocation analysis, income tax planning, charitable planning, business succession, asset protection, and estate and wealth transfer planning
  • Provides support as a subject-matter expert to clients, relationship managers and/or advisors around Wealth Planning content, services and solutions

The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule:
Salary range is determined by location of the job.

Salary range:  Min: $133,000  Mid: $190,000 Max: $247,000

May be considered for a discretionary bonus, Restricted Share Rights or other long-term incentive awards

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: tax, financial, or wealth planning

Other Desired Qualifications
  • 10 years comprehensive financial planning experience with HNW clients
  • A Juris Doctor (JD) degree, active CPA designation, or active CFP certification highly preferred
  • 10 years of estate planning experience with HNW clients
  • Advance degree and/or professional designations such as CFP or Masters in Taxation
  • Professional network and local market knowledge in location and location markets
  • Deep experience with clients in the $25+ million Net Worth segment
  • Up to speed on economic changes such as tax law changes, with the ability to create thought leadership on it.  

Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
