Microsoft Azure Pre-Sales Design Architect
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Location: St. Louis, MO (MUST be local)
Salary: $110,000-120,000 base with EXCELLENT bonus incentives (OTE $140,000-150,000)
Travel: Minimal, Short distance, day trips to local clients in the region as needed
The Microsoft Pre-Sales Architect provides pre-sales support of product offerings and solution designs to local/regional clients. The person in this role must be able to assess customer needs and tailor customized solutions to fit business needs. The right candidate must be well versed in all market offerings in the identified area of expertise in order to fully meet customer expectations. Additionally, this position requires the ability to justify costs related to design, implementation and training.
Prior experience working in a pre-sales, client-facing role
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft products and services, MS Azure being priority
Ability to discuss, architect and manage pre-sales activities around Azure, Active Directory, Office 365, Windows Server, Hyper-V, Exchange, System Center and Teams
Has participated in multiple Microsoft infrastructure projects by consulting, implementing or migrating.
5+ years' experience deploying Microsoft infrastructure software.
Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft's entire infrastructure stack, including messaging and collaboration products and Exchange Unified Messaging.
Consults and prepares on design, support, and management of recommended solutions
Prepares Microsoft technical designs using manufacturer design tools
Analyzes customer needs, issues and interests to formulate a strategy that will achieve business objectives
Provides live demonstrations for customers and sales teams
Strives to ensure a high market share of products and services by providing direction and information on the products and related services to customers and National Account Managers
Provides direction and consults to customers towards resolution of complaints for pre-sale issues
Keeps current on industry changes, participates when possible in organizations directly involved with SME products and services, and continually works to improve sales techniques and sales knowledge
Keeps advised on company policies, procedures, and objectives, clarifying them with a Manager when questions arise; is always prepared to accurately discuss these policies with our customers
Works directly with key customer personnel to identify, establish, and communicate key performance indicators needed to meet customer requirements
Assures tactical and strategic delivery of services to the enterprise in a timely, accurate, and reliable manner
Creates, reviews and/or evaluates technical business scopes of work
Develops and maintains solution ROI and TCO models
Candidates must live locally and be able to travel to nearby client sites as needed.
Bonus potential - $30-40K
