' class='section-body'>Our client - a mid-sized growing organization - is looking to add a Payroll Professional to their team. This client has a fun, collaborative, light hearted environment, and they are looking for an individual that has those similar personality traits. They value their employees, and have a culture that provides work/life balance.Job ResponsibilitiesAs the primary Payroll person, you will be responsible for all payroll processing, reporting and related accounting functions. Specific duties in this role include:
  • Updating payroll records, entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions and job title and department/division transfers
  • Preparing reports and compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages
  • Determining payroll liabilities, calculating employee federal and state income and social security taxes and employer's social security, unemployment, and workers compensation payments
  • Resolving payroll-related discrepancies, collecting and analyzing information
  • Maintains payroll operations following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes
  • Maintaining employee confidence and protecting payroll operations by keeping information confidential
  • Contributing to team effort and accomplishing related results as needed

Job Requirements

We are looking for a Payroll person who combines exceptional time management abilities, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You should be highly organized and detail-oriented and possess the ability to effectively work both independently or in a team setting. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Specific requirements for this position include:
  • Degree preferred, but not required
  • Minimum 3 years Payroll Processing Experience
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Solid data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including basic to intermediate Excel skills
