If you are an experienced Machinery Health professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you!  This position will be a 100% home based remote role. Emerson Power & Water Solutions is seeking an industry vibration professional to join us as a GLOBAL MACHINERY HEALTH BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER to expand our machinery health business.  In this role you will promote the sale of Emerson Machinery Health products with emphasis on the Ovation Machinery Health Monitor Module through collaboration with the global sales leadership team, development of marketing collateral and initiatives, and direct education of customers and partners on the benefits of these Emerson products. The Business Development Manager supplements the sales forces as an expert in the area of complex rotating machinery monitoring and protection, as well as the use of software for configuration and diagnostics.  Whether through training of the sales force or directly interfacing with the customer, provides confidence in Emerson's ability to enhance the user's reliability and safety of their critical machines.

AS A GLOBAL MACHINERY HEALTH BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER, YOU WILL: 

  • Promote the sale of Emerson Machinery Health hardware and software products
  • Knowledge and experience with selecting the appropriate hardware, software, and accessories for an application
  • Work closely with the PWS Product Development to understand and exploit the features of the Ovation Machinery Health Management Module
  • Identify target applications, competitors, and/or customers in which the Machinery Health products are particularly suited to fill niches
  • Provide global sales force with adequate marketing collateral and training for competent Level 1 presentations and discussions locally
  • Prepare and provide Level 2 sales support directly at the customer site for qualified opportunities with the sales force
  • Work with the Marketing / Communications group to develop product literature, presentations, and other media to support MHM promotions
  • Identify, prepare for, and attend webinar/trade events that promote MHM products
  • Develop solution messaging for Machinery Health Management products to address pains and desires of global power customers
  • Gather 'voice of the customer' feedback for future product enhancements
  • Coordinate with the global sales force as needed to drive sales for Machinery Health Management products
  • Address international requests for marketing collateral and technical support
  • Review proposals to ensure accuracy and price competitiveness
  • Maintain and regularly report on current global order data and forecasts

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • A minimum of 6 years of field experience supporting machinery health/vibration applications with end users
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%, some overnight travel required to include an occasional international trip (Post COVID restrictions).
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.  

 PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering
  • Accredited Vibration Analyst Category 2 or higher
  • Sales experience
  • Experience presenting on technical subjects to audiences
