User Support Specialist/Operations Coordinator - CDC

GDIT is seeking a User Support Specialist / Operations Coordinator to join our team supporting CDC's DEO. DEO currently has a need for support for the COVID 19 response, as well as other active planning and preparedness needs.

The key activities that are needed in support of this role are:

+ Assist in writing, coordinating, and developing emergency response plans.

+ Writing, coordinating, and developing emergency weekly response plans.

+ Send requests for inputs to weekly Situation Reports

+ Compile inputs from response task forces into weekly Situation Reports.

+ Submit draft Situation Reports to Planning Section Chief for review and approval.

+ Coordinate completed Situation Reports and Incident Action Plans with EOC Operations

+ Maintain reports in established SharePoint and shared drive locations

+ Assist in developing and updating the response Incident Action Plans.

+ Collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative data to identify areas for improvement in CDC response operations.

+ Conduct data management and analysis using analytic and statistical software packages (e.g. SAS, NVivo, Power Bi) Synthesize response-related data from multiple sources in briefings and reports to share evaluation findings with response leadership Assist in planning and conducting meetings and conference calls, both in-person and virtual.

+ Develop PowerPoint and other briefing materials for meetings and conference calls.

+ Perform other duties to support the response Planning Section as assigned Assist in developing draft observations and recommendations for the After Action Report.


**Required Skills and Experience:**

+ Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Computer Science, Public Health or Business and 4+ years related experience.

+ Experience in assisting in the preparation of documents for public audiences

+ Experience in the use of MS Teams and Microsoft Office software (i.e., Word; Excel; PowerPoint; Outlook)

+ Must be U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) clearance

**Desired Skills and Experience:**

+ Previous CDC and or public health experience highly desirable

+ Superior multi-tasking and organization skills. Must manage multiple simultaneous projects and prioritize assignments and tasks accordingly, remaining flexible to changing priorities and new initiatives.

+ Self-sufficient (needs little supervision)

+ Sound interpersonal communication, telephone, email and business etiquette

+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

+ Experience in facilitating quick turn-around for complex documents

+ Mid level understanding of data analysis including the use of SAS, R, SQL and Python for developing database views and programs

+ Ability to draft data analysis plans
