Manufacturing Engineer

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Develop manufacturing processes and tools to ensure products and services provided meet all contractual, program, design and quality requirements.
* Create manufacturing documentation including drawings, routings and work instructions.
* Disposition manufacturing non-conformances, and determine causes and solutions.
* Troubleshoot machines and processes.
* Meet with customers to define their needs and determine the best solutions.
* Lead manufacturing capital procurement & implementation projects.
* Co-develop cost estimates for new process implementation and manufacturing quotes.
* Participate in design, manufacturing and test documentation reviews to ensure applicable contract, program, design and quality requirements are met.
* Lead continuous improvement projects in a team environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Minimum 5 years providing engineering support to a manufacturing environment.
* Excellent written and verbal communication.
* Proficient at reading, analyzing and interpreting customer drawings, specifications, procedures and standards.
* Proficient with computer systems and basic software, experience with CAD (Solid Works, NX, AutoCAD, or similar).
* Proven track record of scheduling and organizing people and time effectively in order to complete assigned functions.
* Ideal candidates also possess:
* Machining, press/forming, welding, brazing, heat-treat and inspection experience.
* Die, tool, fixture and gage design experience.
* Minimum 3 years in aerospace industry.
* Experience optimizing high mix / low volume production.
* Proven success with team leadership and continuous improvement.
* Lean and six sigma experience.

* Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent
