Our virtuoso engineers will change the future of flight because you will help them navigate the road to that opportunity. Critical to our success is your expertise in developing mission critical flight and safety software.

What You'll Get to Do:

Impact the Company

We want you to design, develop, and test flight and safety software in collaboration with the Lead Flight Software Engineer and Flight Software team. Your knowledge of C, C++, or Rust and definition of how the flight and safety software is developed, tested, and qualified will be instrumental in ensuring the success of our mission.

Impact the Technology

You will be working directly with the Lead Flight Software Engineer and Avionics engineers with opportunities to make hardware recommendations. Your ideation and guidance will shape the software capabilities of the spaceplane.

Impact the Customer Experience

Your knowledge and experience will enable you to provide features to passengers. You will have an opportunity to provide the necessary features for passenger travel, and a few bells and whistles as well.

We trust your experience to build functional, reliable, efficient, secure, modular, and maintainable software. We want you to support your teammates by sharing your ideas, and giving and receiving feedback to improve the software solutions. If you see a need to improve what we're doing or create something new - go for it!

What You Have
    • You have 4-8+ years of experience developing embedded software in C++, C, or Rust for avionics, automotive, or any safety critical industry.
    • You have 4-8+ years of experience qualifying mission critical flight and safety software.
    • You have a high level of comfort working collaboratively and partnering with teams across departments, as it takes a team to go hypersonic.
    • You are flexible and have the ability to adapt quickly to changes to company or team goals. You never know when a breakthrough is going to happen or a new opportunity is going to arise.
    • We have lots to do - you have the ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously and proactively communicate changes to plans and/or roadblocks.
    • Bachelors' degree with a concentration in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent qualification.We're trusting your communication and influencing skills are amazingly effective.
    • And, of course, conduct all activities with the highest integrity and work ethic.

    • Masters' degree with a concentration in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent qualification.
    • For new grads, relevant internships and research projects are impressive and will be considered when we review your resume.

Benefits:

Compensation:

In the U.S., the standard base pay ranges for these roles are $80K-$140K annual. This base pay range is for the U.S. and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S. Actual amount will vary depending on factors including experience, performance, education, location, and other job-related factors.
