Job Description

Job Purpose:

Responsible for all aspects of the manufacturing and repair process of all Telecommunication Call Processing platforms, related Networking Equipment, Workstations, Hard Drives, Securus Video Visitation units and other Securus equipment.  Responsible for all system configurations for Securus equipment such as Video Visitation, Workstations, VPM2 systems, NSD servers and other call/video related platforms. Responsible to support the creation and maintenance of manufacturing documentation to comply with the latest updates/changes.



Responsibilities

Essential Duties:

  • Initial Product Builds and Repair of:
  • Windows PCs
  • Touch Screen Video Visitation terminals
  • Imaging and repairing VPM2 Systems
  • Imaging Fanless servers – NSDs / VPM / SLPs
  • Tablet operations for provisioning/repair/order fulfillment
  • Perform analysis on field return items
  • Perform daily data entry functions in Heat for production efforts
  • Perform Software Loads and Configuration
  • Responsible for Quality of Product being shipped
  • Responsible for internal Technical Support assistance
  • Work with Procurement on Quality issues in components and software
  • Work with QA to improve the overall quality and production processes
  • Report to management daily progress to schedule and quality
  • Responsible for creation and maintenance of production documentation
  • Work with Installation Team on product issues as required
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Cross train peers within department to diversify intellectual resources
  • Adhere to Inventory control processes
  • Assist Warehouse personnel in scheduled Inventory counts
  • Provide second level technical support to resolve field and/or internal technical support issues.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Manufacturing Tech, Technical Support of PC /Server/Network/Tablet equipment experience
  • Troubleshooting and Repairing PCs, Servers, Tablet and Network Appliances
  • Loading and configuring systems
  • Load Configure and Test various network devices such as IADs (VoIP Channel Banks), switches and Wireless Access Points and related devices
  • Strong self-initiative skills
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of applications that support business operations
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Demonstrated ability to function successfully in a fast paced, changing work environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
  • Demonstrated ability to function successfully in a fast paced, changing work environment
  • Attention to detail, self-motivated and directed
  • Ability to conduct research into systems issues and products as required
  • Thorough understanding of general business operations and processes


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2+ years’ experience in a help desk, customer service or technical support environment
  • Progressive experience in several areas of operational technology with a focus on manufacturing and warehouse fulfillment
  • Work experience in a high speed manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a telecommunications environment
  • Prior experience in a Warehouse/Manufacturing environment
  • Electronic Technician Training
  • IT Support Training

Physical Requirements:

Standing, sitting, walking, speaking, listening, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping and manipulating tools, typing, using peripheral computer tools.  May be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
