Kforce has a client that is seeking a Desktop and Network Tech in New York, NY. Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostics, navigate request and recommend repairs in a timely fashion
  • Exercise independent judgment to analyze and diagnose technical problems and issues with both hardware and software
  • Display creative thinking while consulting with users on modifications to existing desktop solutions
  • Adapt software programs to meet user's business requirement
  • Phone and in-person contact with users to diagnose, discover and resolve hardware or software issues
  • Clearly and concisely train employees in the proper use of software applications and hardware systems to local and remote users
  • Create system documentation and user guides to assist in knowledge transfer of systems
  • Deploy new computer systems, hardware and peripherals ensuring the proper transfer of all user setting and files
  • Explore new system solutions, including testing, design, modification and deployment required to meeting user's needs
  • Assist in the development, modification, testing and documentation of policies/procedures and implementation related to computer systems


Be skilled, knowledgeable and conversant with current computer system technologies including but not limited to: Desktop / laptop/ Mobile:
  • Workstation Operating Systems - Microsoft Windows 10 / 8 / 7
  • Microsoft Office 365 / 2016
  • Apple Mac OS / iOS
  • Android OS
  • Anti-virus, SAPM, spyware tools
  • Detail desktop, laptop, and mobile device maintenance & repair skills
  • Desktop imaging and updates
  • Printer and copier maintenance
  • VoIP configuration
  • Audio Visual / Conferencing technologies
  • Mobile Device Management (MDM) - MaaS360 / Microsoft Intune
  • Wireless / Bluetooth technology
Server / Cloud:
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2016 / 2012 / 2008
  • Microsoft Azure AD
  • Microsoft Exchange 2016
  • Office 365
  • Azure
  • Anti-virus/SPAM/security protocols
  • Network protocols and topology (i.e. TCP/IP, VLAN, SAN)
  • Secure remote access (i.e. Citrix Access Gateway, Cisco VPN, Firewall)
  • Quest KACE 1000 / 2000
  • Aruba and Cisco Wireless
  • Microsoft Endpoint Manager/Intune and O365
