SMX is seeking an Enterprise Architect for AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) who will lead and support technical teams to architect, build, deploy, and migrate cloud solutions across public cloud environments to support enterprise clients. Serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for AWS, Azure, and GCP and will help shape and grow our public and hybrid cloud offerings. This role is 100% remote.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**

+ Apply technical knowledge and expertise across multiple teams to architect and design solutions that meet business and IT needs, create solution roadmaps, drive proofs of concept, and ensure long term technical viability of cloud migrations, leveraging key technologies where appropriate.

+ **Advocate and define cloud architecture vision from a strategic perspective, including internal and external platforms, tools, and systems**

+ Support and nurture Amazon, Microsoft, Google, and other partner relationships

+ Develop deep relationships with key customer IT decision makers, who drive long-term cloud adoption within their company to enable them to be cloud advocates

+ Lead architecture through hand-on evaluations, defining standards, designing solution and reference architectures that solve stated business objectives.

+ Optimize solutions to improve performance and scalability, while providing efficiencies and reducing operating costs

+ Provide support and technical governance, expertise related to cloud architectures, deployment, and operations

+ Act as a Subject Matter Expert to the organization for end-to-end cloud architecture including networking, provisioning, and management

+ Provides technical guidance and mentoring to the Solutions Architecture team, directly overseeing Solutions Architects and Cloud Engineers

+ Advocate and drive adoption of standard methodologies to ensure standardization of solution architecture outputs across the enterprise

+ Maintain overall industry knowledge on latest trends, technologies, and services

**Required Skills:**

+ Certified in any of the following:

+ AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional

+ Azure Solutions Architect Expert

+ Google Certified Professional - Cloud Architect

+ Enterprise-scale technical experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, and technology management

+ Strong knowledge of security best practices including compliance frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, DoD RMF, HIPAA, ISO, NIST etc.)

+ Customer-facing skills to acquire knowledge of customer's environment and drive discussions with senior personnel regarding trade-offs, best practices, project management and risk mitigation

+ Ability to obtain and maintain a federal clearance

**Required Experience:**

+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Math, Engineering, or related field

+ 8+ years of experience ideating, architecting, consulting, designing, developing, leading, and delivering cloud infrastructure and cloud application platform technology solutions over the entire lifecycle of large scale, multi-team, complex enterprise projects

+ 8+ years of experience in more than one of the following technical domains: Core Infrastructure, Application Development, Data and Analytics, and Low Code/No Code

+ 10+ years of success in consultative/complex technical sales and deployment projects, architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of highly distributed applications required

+ 3+ years with Cloud Architecture, including architecture, deployment, cloud migration strategy, and planning in AWS, Azure, GCP, and other cloud platforms

+ Experience and understanding of large-scale application portfolios in enterprise-wide environments (including migration of on-premise workloads to the cloud)
