Position summary:Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking full-timeRoad Ranger Roamer - Supervisorto perform maintenance operations in the Treasure Coastarea. The Road Ranger Roamer will be responsible for supervising and monitoring Treasure Coast Road Rangers operations. Responsibilities include communicating with Road Ranger Superintendent along with field staff to respond to emergencies and/or incidents on the roadway, help mitigate delays caused by traffic incidents, increase safety of emergency responders, documenting all work performed with detailed time logs, overseeing the day to day duties and adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures.


  • Must passcriminal background check run by Jorgensenas well as aState of Florida pre-employment screenings.The State-run screening is an extensive screening and will include review of previous work record, school record, military record, criminal record, financial/credit status, as well as fingerprint processing. This information will be used in determining qualifications and fitness to have access to equipment and facilities which comprise the State Law Enforcement Radio System of the State of Florida.

Required Experience:

Minimum two (2) years' supervisory experience

Minimum two (2) years' experience managing lane operations

Preferred Experience:

  • Local Road Ranger Experience

  • MOT, CPR/First Aide and/or Hazmat Certifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Previous management experience and proven track record

  • Advanced MOT

  • Functions effectively as part of a team

  • Exhibits strong leadership qualities

  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times

  • Strong decision making/problem solving skills

  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license


Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED

Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)

Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations

Carry out simple arithmetic functions

Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job

Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology

Ability to use smart phone and applications

Ability to adjust to changing work schedule

Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions

Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds

Ability to operate hand/power tools

Schedule:

Full time; Monday & Tuesday 1:30pm to 9:30pm; Saturday & Sunday 6:00pm to 6:00am. Shifts could change as the need for the project. Must be able to work extra shifts when needed.
