DAISO Store Manager will oversee the daily operations of your assigned store. The store manager will ensure the smooth running of store operations to maximize sales and minimize costs. An effective store manager will be able to motivate all store personnel to perform according to their maximum capability. The goal is to manage our store in ways that boost revenues and develop the business.
- Develop business strategies to raise the customer pool, expand store traffic, increase basket size, and optimize profitability
- Meet sales goals by training, motivating, mentoring, and providing feedback to sales staff
- Ensure prominent levels of customers satisfaction through excellent customer service
- Complete store administration and ensure compliance with policies and procedures
- Maintain outstanding store condition, plan, and oversee in-store promotional events or displays
- Upholds DAISO's standards for display presentation
- Deal with all issues that arise from staff or customers (complaints, grievances)
- Managing the store, both retail and company, inventory, including loss prevention through theft and breakage
- Effectively create store schedules to meet customer demand while meeting payroll targets
- Create employee schedules, assign schedules and responsibilities to associates, verify results are carried through
- Recruiting, interviewing, hiring, disciplining, and offboarding poor-performing staff
- Conduct personnel performance appraisals
- Training new employees and providing ongoing training for employees
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:
- Proven experience as a retail manager or in other managerial position
- Knowledge of retail management best practices
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
- Excellent organizing and leadership skills
Physical Requirements:
Ability to regularly lift up to 40 lbs. (and occasionally, up to 55 lbs.) from floor level to above shoulder height; must be able to meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
