Research Associate

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Research Associate supports leads to execute, analyze, and deliver excellence to clients. The Associate works closely on cross-functional team client servicing teams on qualitative and quantitative projects. Will follow project management best practices and work to identify workflow efficiencies. The Research Associate will have a passion for research, solving problems, working with data, account management, and identifying process improvements. This role contributes to the execution and key elements of project processes, survey programming, data collection, the accuracy of data tables, and report deliverables. May respond to client emails, calls, and participate in client meetings and presentations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Collaborate effectively with multiple client service and data operations teams. Partners to ensure the overall quality and timely execution of client deliverables.
* Understand and articulate project specifications, goals, and potential outcomes of each client engagement they support.
* Begin to demonstrate an understanding of project management principles and best practices.
* Support the design and programming of questionnaires that meet the specifications prior to programming as well as test the programmed surveys.
* Coordinate data operations activities/tasks on the day-to-day execution of key elements of the research process related to survey scripting, data collection, and tabulation.
* Quality check tabulation and data file deliverables to ensure they meet the specifications identified in the banner and tab plans they developed at the onset.
* Support the creation of reports; both for pre-sale and post-sale deliverables in a way that supports clear and actionable stories for clients.
* Support the creation and monitoring of project budgets. Escalate concerns appropriately to leads to ensure each project is completed on-time and within budget.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Client centric mindset; understands client is at the center of it all.

* Experience working in custom ad hoc environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
* Experience in fast-paced supplier environments.
* Calculated risk-taker; embraces change and seeks process enhancements and effectiveness.
* Entrepreneurial approach; ability and desire to initiate the identification and pursuit of innovative ideas.
* Working knowledge of supporting engagements across a variety of industry sectors: Financial Services, Healthcare, Consumer/Retail, Transportation, Technology, and/or Media.
* Proactive problem solver and critical thinker throughout the life-cycle of all projects.
* Basic understanding of project & research management best practices and standards; to maximize the execution and delivery of excellence to clients. Ultimately, resulting in repeat requests and account retention.
* Experience supporting large programs/tracking studies is a plus.
* Basic knowledge of working with appended data; working with portals and understanding hierarchies in portals.
* Ability to thrive in a heavily matrixed environment

REQUIREMENTS:

* Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Marketing research, Business, Psychology, Social Sciences, or a related industry is required; Advanced degree is a plus.
* PMI or Six Sigma Certification is a plus
* 1-3 years of experience
* Analytical report writing skills
* Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
* Exposure to software such as Q, Dimensions, SPSS desired
* Exposure with Partners such as Dapresy and/or Qualtrics desired
