We are seeking a candidate with passion for discovering and delivering life-changing medicines to patients. The successful applicant is expected to have good understanding of a range of procedures related to recombinant antibody identification through yeast display libraries. They will execute laboratory experiments, develop methods, generate, interpret, and report scientific data. They will work within an interactive team of experts to support COVID-19 therapeutics and also advance pipeline programs in various therapeutic areas.

What you'll do:

* Support discovery campaigns using phage or yeast display technologies for the identification and characterization of therapeutic antibodies.
* Use molecular biology skills to build and sort diverse display libraries, then amplify outputs by next-generation sequencing.
* Characterize isolated clones independently using transient transfection, protein purification and binding assays.
* Prepare, analyse, and present data internally and externally.
* Work within a matrixed environment across multiple groups

Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

Essential Requirements:

o Bachelor's degree in in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology or related disciplines with 5+ years of laboratory experience.

o Experience with bacterial and yeast culture, cell sorting and DNA characterization.

o Extensive and current hands-on experience in a wide-variety of Molecular Biology techniques, including cloning, DNA sequence analysis, protein expression and purification and tissue culture.

o Ability to work independently and in a team setting.

o Self-motivated, diligent, and flexible in accommodating shifting priorities.

o Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both oral and written, with supervisor, team, and various cross-functional project team members.

o Proficient in Microsoft Office tools including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point, as well as flow cytometry analysis tools such as FlowJo.

o Maintain accurate and well-organized laboratory records, including worksheets, lab notebooks, inventories, and databases.

Preferred Requirements:

o Master's degree in a related field with 2+ years of relevant laboratory experience.

o Experience with discovery platforms including phage display.

o Experience with NGS experimental design, library construction and data analysis.

o Transfection/electroporation, culturing and expansion of mammalian cells.

o Background in cell biology is highly desired.

o Experience with ELISA, MSD and biolayer inferometry binding assays.
