We have a need for an additional onsite resource for our European Medical Device Report (MDR) enhancement project for TrackWise. We are looking for a resource with a junior-level Data Analyst skillset to work through a particular portion of the project. The resource will work with the development team and business to gather requirements, analyze related data and provide a database table structure to accommodate a specific subset of the data needed for the MDR. The resource does not need the advanced Data Modeler type skillset and would be more of a technical BA.
Responsible for analysis of data and design of system structures and logic for storage and retrieval of data to facilitate business process. Works closely with key business representatives to gather and compile data, determine processing rules and propose design solutions. Provides status reporting, logging of activities, and documentation deliverables in alignment with project standards and schedule commitments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The essential duties of this role are to participate in requirements gathering, facilitate data gathering and compilation and propose design solutions based on analysis of data and business rules for business process. In performing this role, it is expected that knowledge of requirements gathering techniques, database design, and database querying will be applied to formulate the overall design in alignment with standard SDLC approach. Key essential duties for this role are as follows:
Facilitate the gathering of requirements and acquisition of data for specific processes to recommend design approaches
Work closely with system developers, business analysts, and business representatives to develop a solution for specific data sets that integrates with overall system design
Provide input for the design of system interfaces to obtain data from target systems working closely with them with the middleware development team
Assist in the development of detailed specifications
Assist in the development of system testing
Communicate status, solutions, and concerns. Disseminate information in a timely manner within the team. Establish and maintain relationships within the technical team and business.
Experience in requirements gathering and high-level database structure design for data storage and retrieval
Good understanding of database concepts including design concepts and working knowledge of SQL
High level knowledge of data modeling to determine appropriate structures based on requirements and associated data
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently on assigned solution objectives
Strong team player, willing and able to support other team members as needed to achieve project goals
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
