Depending on qualifications, as a Supervisor/Manager of Accounting, you will administer various systems used to accumulate and record financial transactions, prepare SEC and financial reports, record journal entries, prepare reconciliations and perform financial analysis for management as required. The incumbent will be assigned to one of the following areas: Cost Accounting, General Accounting, or Business Unit Finance.
Identifying, analyzing and correcting discrepancies among Hormel and Subsidiary data files, financial statements, and output results each period.
Managing timely and accurate reconciliation of bank and general ledger accounts including accrued expenses, accounts payable, inventories, and prepaid expenses.
Preparing monthly financial statements for joint ventures.
Performing ongoing general accounting tasks.
Provides a weekly estimate for the entire division to upper management.
Creates, analyzes and distributes monthly financial reports.
This position may have direct reports
A bachelor's degree in accounting/finance
5+ years experience
Public accounting experience at a national firm.
A pattern of initiative and leadership.
Strong analytical, problem solving, critical thinking, and decision making skills.
Well-developed interpersonal and organizational skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong computer skills.
Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States.
