Position Introduction/Key Duties

Cimarron is seeking Structural and Payload Design Engineers to support a large aerospace and defense customer at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. These positions are supporting a 6-month contract. This opportunity is a hybrid role and will allow for some remote work (i.e. work from home a few days a week).

This opportunity offers a competitive salary and the opportunity for additional cash-in-lieu of benefits.

Key Duties:

  • Assist with the documentation of structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design.
  • Assist with the development, maintenance, and modification of payload system and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers, and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Assist with tests to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
  • Assist with the management of supplier development, test, and production activities to optimize the design and achieve program goals.
Required/Desired Skills, Experience, and Education

Required Skills, Experience, and Education:
  • Due to facility requirements, only U.S. Citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
  • Cimarron employees are required to follow federal, state, and local laws regarding COVID-19 practices, as well as customer requirements.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
  • 1 or more years of related experience.
  • Experience in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, and/or Aerospace Engineering.
  • CAD experience.
  • CATIA experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering classification from an accredited course of study.
Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:
  • Augmented/Virtual Reality experience.
  • Gaming degree/coding experience.
